Donn Heywood is the creative driving force behind Salon Rapport. Donn opened Salon Rapport to fulfill a life-long dream of passing on a legacy of creativity and passion for hair.
While Donn was born with a natural love of hair styling and color, he first pursued an academic career in psychology. Deciding to return to his true passion, he steeped himself in the hair industry. After years of studying and training abroad, working in the industry, and even owning a more traditional salon of his own; Donn knew the time was right. Together with his sister, Konnie Heywood, herself a renowned hair colorist; Donn created Salon Rapport. In addition to their passion and creativity, Donn's background in psychology and Konnie's acute business acumen all blend together to create the culture that is Salon Rapport.
Their dream was to create a training salon where students of the industry could make a living while learning from the expreience and knowledge they had garnered. Out of love for the industry that has raised them, Donn and Konnie have brought their dream of "paying it forward" to fruition in Salon Rapport.

Our extensive training curriculum was custom designed by Donn and Konnie Heywood to cover every aspect of becoming the best hair care professional possible. From the basics of using the tools and techniques of the trade to the psychology behind creating symbiotic client relationships, Salon Rapport will help you realize your full potential.
As a member of the Salon Rapport team, you will also be privy to special salon events like hands-on workshops given by industry icons. What could be better than getting paid while you learn from the best in the business?
All of our specialists-in-training are held to the highest standards of attitude, emotional intelligence, and aptitude. Salon Rapport is for everyone, but not everyone is for Salon Rapport. All training program candidates must apply for a position in the program, and complete a working interview so that we can gauge your current skill level.

One of the core concepts that Salon Rapport was founded upon is that of 'paying it forward;' extending a hand to those
